Tony and his wife Mary Ellen moved to Seaside Heights from Paterson, New Jersey in 1968. Tony first served as a councilman from 1975 through 1992 and returned to the governing body in 2011. Tony and Mary Ellen owned and operated Victoria Court Motel and numerous Boardwalk concessions on the North End. Tony is a member and former president of the Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Company and presently serves with the fire police unit.

Tony is a retired school teacher and administrator with a doctorate degree in special education. He served for many years with the Manchester Township School District and retired as the school superintendent of the Borough of Spotswood School District.
