Lifeguards are on duty all hours that the beach is opened. No swimming is allowed after the lifeguards are off duty. STAY OUT, STAY ALIVE!
SEASIDE HEIGHTS CONTINUES TO BE THE MOST ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE FAMILY BEACH EXPERIENCE IN NEW JERSEY! Many free public restrooms are located along the boardwalk at Webster, Kearney and Hiering Avenues. Additionally, there are cold showers available at all ramps to rinse off.
REMEMBER, CHANGING IN VEHICLES OR IN THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS IS A VIOLATION OF BOROUGH ORDINANCE #154-2, AND IS PUNISHABLE BY A FINE OF UP TO $1,250.00, AND NOBODY WANTS THAT!
Kites, Kayaks, Ball Playing, Frisbee throwing and related recreational activities that could inconvenience fellow beach-goers, are generally prohibited when the beaches are open. However, you are invited to make use of our beaches for these purposes before 9 a.m. or after 6 p.m. and even during regular hours subject to the discretion of the Lifeguard Captain.
Beach umbrellas, lounge chairs, and inflatable rafts are available from privately operated concessions along the beach and boardwalk.
Our Surf Chair program provides beach access wheelchairs available at no charge. Call Lifeguard Headquarters (732) 793-4646 during any operational day to make arrangements.
